    We have picked up trash all over the world for the past five years. It makes a difference. There is the immediacy of trash replaced by natural earth, there is the effect of people seeing you caring for the earth, then there is the subliminal and sometimes conscious effect of people going past the areas you have cleaned up and they have a much improved impression of the area. It’s all good.

    I was taught American History in high school by the football coach. For the first part of the year I thought he actually knew something. Then I got a look at his version of the textbook and he had all these extra paragraphs in red that made him look like he knew something. The whole experience was 100% propaganda. Learned much more from A People’s History of the United StatesBook by Howard Zinn and 1491 by Charles C. Mann.
