   I wasn’t bothered with the drone stuff. It’s the attitude that China is a bigger threat than Russia. The Chinese have been content to threaten an invasion of Taiwan and let the North Koreans aggravate everyone in the far east. Russia invaded Ukraine. That’s real. That is a threat to all of Europe. That is a real war with real death and destruction. We do what we can to aid the Ukrainians or we will have to fight Russians in person with our own kids in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. There may still be Poles that remember what it was like to be stuck between Germany and Russia in 1940. Plus our resolve and determination with respect to Ukraine will demonstrate to China what our likely response to an invasion of Taiwan will be.

   You know how Qpublicans are always going on about immigrants taking “our” jobs. This is a move to let children of undocumented immigrants work in factories because they can be more easily exploited and abused.

   We are addressing the real threat in Europe posed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. If you don’t think a war in Europe is a threat to the USA you need to read a history book covering the first half of the twentieth century.

   In 1999 congress repealed much of the Glass-Steagall act. It only took eight years for the banking industry to find a way to collapse. Dodd-Frank came as a response but was no where near as stringent as Glass-Steagall. Trump rolled back Dodd-Frank. The banking industry will get a bailout and a pass this time due to Republican control of the House.
