Many years ago when my son lost his job he, his wife and two kids came to live with me for awhile. When school started I walked the oldest, 3rd grade, to the local elementary school. When she came home she told me about the 5 new BFFs she had. The next day she had 5 different BFFs. After the third day and a new gang, I stopped keeping track.
Sure, bring a device into your home that listens to everything going on, that tracks all of your requests, and stores them on servers with unknown security and unknown access. But! Not to worry, the internet is full of friendly helpful people who only have your best interests at heart.
I used to work for a company where at the annual meeting they had the CEO come out riding a white horse with a white desert outfit. That company didn’t last long. As they say in Texas, “All hat and no cattle.”
One of the reasons I threw my TV out over a decade ago. I got tired of violence filled programming designed for those with a 5th grade education and the attention span of a gnat.
One good thing about papers going on the net, is that they don’t get wet anymore. They still haven’t solved the “Late” issue however. They have just exchanged “Server Issues” for “Traffic Due To The Storm,” excuse.
