   I saw an episode of Murder Book that was just like this. People saw a guy that was most likely the last person at the gas station diner the night that a nice, older lady was working her first solo shift there. He robbed her and then stabbed her. He was transient and so nobody in town recognized him. At one point the police actually WERE hoping he would just show back up in town and someone would be able to point him out. They had no other evidence at all to work with. It took 30+ years and advanced in DNA technology to figure out who killed her. All it took was the ability to properly test the blood on the knife, and it turned out that a tiny portion of his blood got mixed into hers. Hard to imagine that her family had to wait so long for justice.

   I don’t think it even goes back as far as the 70s-80s. When I went to community college from 2001-2003, I came out with two Associates degrees in a related field and only about $3,500 in student loan debt.

   In 2016, I completed a Bachelors in a little less than two years and left with over $30K in debt. That’s AFTER all of the state and local grants I received from going to a local university.

   Granted, I realize that an Associates and a Bachelors is not on the same level, but that alone doesn’t justify the huge price increase. It’s a disgrace.

   I have two small-breed dogs, Pekingese-Shihtzu and Bichon-Shihtzu mixes, and they both like to lie on my back or on my hip whenever I try to nap on the sofa. I call them my little hot water bottles.

   I’ve had this sofa for about a year. I got my first dog 1.5 years ago and have had the other for about five months, and I haven’t had a nap since!

   I miss used bookstores… where I grew up we had a really great one built into the corner of a Goodwill store (but separately owned and operated by a book lover). When he died, the new manager there had it dismantled and now almost all the books are gone. Where I live now has your typical expensive booksellers but not much in the way of used books. :(

   On the other hand, I know what you mean about e-books! With Project Gutenberg, I have found hundreds of old books that I never even knew existed.
