The art of reducing a literary masterpiece to a few pages shouldn’t be understated. We didn’t have books in our working class household when I was young. But my mother subscribed to the Reader’s Digest. I read that thing cover to cover for years, still do when I can get my hands on one in the dentist’s waiting room.

I think that’s the point. This little pest could write an undergraduate level book report but complains when asked to do so.

With respect, the effect of a tailwind isn’t reduced because of your speed. Let’s say there is no wind outside, I get up to speed, say 30km/h. Aerodynamically, I have to fight the drag created by what feels like a 30km/h headwind. Now, let’s say I have a 10km/h tailwind, I accelerate and get up to 40km/h and again I feel the drag of a headwind equivalent to 30km/h. So, I’m going 25% faster with more or less the same amount of effort. I love tailwinds. And you’re right, anything other than a tailwind feels like a headwind.
