In the words of Bugs Bunny: ’What a maroon!" heh heh.

Yes, Steve, I see that. But that is Kamen’s art. May be from a story called “The Fly.” My E.C. collection isn’t extensive.’

Interesting. The next to the last panel is a Jack Kamen illustration from some 50’s EC comic. Dunno if the dialogue in the balloon has been altered.

Well, that’s NOT the most ridiculous comment I evah hoid!

Are y’all sure we won’t be getting Stan and Ollie? They’ve done a lot of other comics’ characters. Why not from the movies?

I should have written Sunday (Tuesday, now.) I’ve not seen it before. Loved both Tracy and Fosdick. I have seen several times they’ve brought in Warbucks, Annie and crew. Reserving judgment. If they ever bring in Pogo or Krazy Kat, THAT will be way over the top!

Well, let’s leave it at that. All you can heap on me is name calling and contempt. Any further dialogue is fruitless. I don’t know you and you certainly don’t know me at all. Your writing exposes you for all to see.

Yep. And its initials, since Nixon, are G. O P. heh heh. And you’re right, I don’t know much about guns. But I watch the news (not the fake kind. ) and I’ve seen on the tube what the weapon and ammunition of choice does to the human body. Also,no sane politician would advocate banning all guns. It would be political suicide. The Brady Bill worked until it was let lapse. And you are also quite right about the Racist element in calls for gun control: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/09/the-secret-history-of-guns/308608/. But no right is absolute. That’s one reason for checks and balances, both in government and society. Labor unions were legalized in order to give workers some kind of equal footing with the power of the corporations to set wages and labor conditions. There are all kinds of regulations with solid reasons for them. It’s illegal to drive without a license, to drive without seat belts and It’s illegal to be drunk and drive. And to drive one has to have insurance. We accept all kinds of regulations on our actions for the common good. Many people and those around them died because they thought wearing masks was an infringement on personal liberty during the pandemic. It wasn’t that long ago when some disease was discovered in a home and that home would be quarantined. I was quarantined with measles and mumps as a kid.

Again: no right is absolute; not even speech. That’s because human rights are always in competition and choices must be made.

Well, it’s late and I’m fading. You have no real understanding of CRT, which is an academic discipline and not taught in public schools. Neither of us are going to convince the other. Probably as many liberals have died or been wounded or served defending this country as have conservatives. And there are scary differences between authoritarians of the Right OR Left than those of mainstream liberals and conservatives.

    Yep. on both sides.
