Eventually. Batiuk’s “Funky Winkerbean” strip is ending at the end of the year. I think (although I may be mistaken) that starting next year Crankshaft will move from Comics Kingdon over to GoComics. I think this is basically a placeholder for the strip so it will be ready to go on January 1.
Or I could be delusional.
I have a shirt with “Failure is always an option” on it. It is always a good motto to keep in mind.
P.S. I wouldn’t be surprised if their new names will be their Christmas gift this year!
They don’t have in-universe names yet. The subject was touched on in the Nov. 18th strip.
The cactus ornament will be perfect for the Las Vegas Fir!
It is, appropriately, in “Lupin Leaps In” pages 125-126
Neither Pucky nor Burt’s books reprint every strip of the newspaper run. Speculation: the publisher is not doing a reprint of “the complete BCN” but is doing a series of books for young readers. As you may recall, when the newspaper strip started, many of the stories were re-telling stories from the web comics. But, in the books, those stories were told already in the prior volumes of the BCN books. The publisher may have decided it made so sense to re-tell those storylines in the books just because they were reformatted for newspaper. Somebody who only read the books might wonder why they were reading the same story again. Speculation ends.
Perhaps, one day, we will get a deluxe, hardbound series of The Complete BCN. For now, though, we will treasure our paperbacks!
Is this part of the game tape they were viewing? I am so lost.
Up, up and away!
As she promised, Pucky is spared her wrath.
