   Coal production steadily fell from 447 million tons in 2016 to 326mt in 2020, it has steadily increased since. The electric power sector accounted for 92% of the total U.S. coal consumed in 2022. [EIA Reports] Biden has not shut down even one coal mine. Biden did restate, along with other world leaders, that all coal mines will need to be shut down to fight global warming. A position all intelligent people agree with.

   Sadly, the unschooled do blame whoever is in the White House for the economy. The genesis of the majority of today’s inflation was the Federal Reserve’s 2020 FAIT plan that declared they would no longer try to prevent inflation with rate increases when unemployment was dropping. They also kept up QE too long and too late started QT. Covid and the Russian War were other major factors. Lesser inflation factors were the money resulting from the 2018 Tax Act and the $2.6 (2020) and $2.4 Trillion (2021) during Trump/Biden. Biden’s late Covid spend did add to the inflation rate, but the current increases are generated by continued strong consumer buying and extreme profit-price-seeking from businesses.
