   Saw the finale. Yeah, it’s a bittersweet experience. It’s cool that the cast got their deserved and satisfying closure, but it sucks to see them go. At least there’re still MoringMark comics.

   Not saying otherwise, but high school students aren’t babies. Most have seen much worse in the media they consume, so I don’t think one explicit scene should warrant a ban.

   The scene described in Gender Queer was reflective of the author’s experience discovering eir sexuality who was the same age as the adolescent audience the book appeals to. If the sex was depicted in a way that was intended to be arousing, then that would be a different story, but that was not the case at all.
