We MADE ferret Penn eat, long past when he was pinwheeling in a scruff to avoid the food. I’m crying remembering this. Now we offer food, but we never again will force feed. But there’s only two possible times to put our pets down—too soon … and too late.
OraZella’s “Very Fresh” reminds me that I expect my cats to eat me if I die and my sister doesn’t get over here soon enough to feed them first. They totally have my permission.
