While we love the idea that we shape our children through nurture, studies indicate that as long as we get them to adulthood there isn’t much we can do to change them. Identical twins separated at birth have grown up remarkably similar regardless of who raised them. Didn’t kill your kids? A win.

An accident is forgivable. But when you search around and find a “new” place to relieve yourself it is not and “accident”, it is a poorly chosen choice.

Only sissies do recounts, REAL leaders attack the seat of government and demand they be declared the winner no matter how the people voted.

Hmmm, well your original statement contains some interesting comments that your reply seems to paper over, starting with “people migrate strikes home: people can’t afford to live where they are.” I have seen Americans staying poor in economically depressed regions when better economic conditions were as little as an hour down the road. I believe they chose to stay there because it was home and they were more tied to the concept of family meaning their parents than future prosperity for their children, (at the time playing dirty half naked wearing grocery bags for shirts I kid you not). You then mention, “being persecuted, prosecuted, physically and/or economically harmed.” this I agree with, I think that is the reason so many actually do chose to walk thousands of miles to enter our country. But you go on to say in your original comment, “people are leaving California and other states because they can’t afford to live there” and in your reply, “It doesn’t make much difference if your rent is cut in half if your paycheck is as well” (in the new state). Taken together your comments contradict each other. Then in your reply you state “people are leaving Texas and other states because they fear for their safety FROM THEIR STATE GOVERNMENTS.” But Texas has been growing by 15-20+% for the last 70 years. Your reply also says “Our species seems to be like deer …expanding to cover the size of the field and grazing it down to the nub and then moving on” and yet what we observe is very different; China the most populous country in the world has been China for millennia . India is a country with well over a billion people in a land mass 1/3 the size of the USA and their population continues to grow. They didn’t eat it to the nub and move on. Your “herd size growing without enough natural predators to keep it healthy.” smacks of social Darwinism. Your comments are full of prejudice assumptions instead of reality.
