Came here for Breaking Cat News, but have found some other great comics—sweet ones like Snow Sez, Cul de Sac, Cat's Cafe and Ten Cats and ones a "little off center" like Last Kiss, Lio and Spirit of the Staircase. Was COVID-laid off in March 2020 and now "enjoying" retirement.

Pair makes these type of frames. You can also search for magnetic glasses and quite a few other eyeglass vendors come up.

Yes, please to the caution! Niece and her housemate work at the same company. Recently one of their co-workers came in coughing after spending the weekend with a sick friend—guess who spread COVID to the office?

Back when I was working, I often stopped at a CVS on my way home from work. Their register counter was set up so that the blinding setting sun would come in through upper windows and hit customers in the face as we were checking out! Checkers acknowledged it was a problem, but complaints to Corporate went nowhere.

How scary for both of you! Hope PT gets him back on his feet quickly and that he’s soon home. Lots of virtual support heading your way and many healing thoughts.

Here in the DFW Metroplex (Texas), we’re supposed to get to 93 on Monday; Wednesday will be 55 (high)/37 (low). No leaves peeking out on our crape myrtles yet (they’re seldom fooled by early warm days into thinking it’s Spring).

Mother was Puerto Rican; she loved children and used to recite “Peter Piper” very quickly in Spanish to entertain them—the babies and toddlers would be absolutely mesmerized and would always clap happily at the end.

Hubby and I have all our previous cats’ ashes on a shelf in the living room; the kitchen is on the other side of that wall, so we often stop and “visit” our sweeties as we come from the bedroom, or bathroom through the living room to the kitchen. They are SO missed and were SO loved.

You posted that Shadow had visited you and he was healthy and happy again—how wonderful and so comforting to know that Shadow is doing well “over there” and wanted you to know.

I read Georgia’s message to Hubby and he joined up as a supporting member (he reads BCN, but doesn’t have time to read the comments).
