There are no others in Asterix’s crew. They have friends and live in a village, but on their missions, they are usually only two. Sometimes, the village-sorcerer has to support them, but usually, he won’t accompany them.
Easy. If they write you a letter, you’ll know. If you leave a phone number instead of an address, they might call you.
“Did you read my comment above where I said that I doubted that Rome gave much credence to the Tanakh or Torah in the earlier times of Rome?” – yes, but exactly this statement is misleading. In “the earlier times of Rome”, Romans didn’t even know that such a book exists.
The East German “Trabant” car had a body made of recycled material, cotton waste and phenol resins (some claim, it was temporarily made also of chipped wood and glue). The car was produced until 1991.
What had the Romans to do with the holy script of a small subdued tribe at the other end of the empire? It’s like one would suggest that in US courts, people would swear on the Green Book of Gaddafi.
“OT was written” – also the Lun Yu was written. And both had nothing to do with Romans.
This greek-word-dropping is so useless! Cooking-fear is the fear of having to cook. My. Running-fear is the fear of having to run. Ad libitum…
As most people are not trained to understand facts of all the different areas of life and science, pure facts (even when supposed they exist) are useless to most of the people most of the time. But even if we suppose that would not be the case, the sheer fact that someone had elected the few facts out of zillions possible to be printed for the reader is an enormous act of manipulation. On top, the way you present them, your language, the words you choose etc. will also heavily influence the reception of these “data” called facts. And as even a “simple” object like a stone contains more data than the biggest computer could store, pure facts are an illusion anyway. What can be written and presented is always a heavily reduced abstraction of the original. Additionally, about most things, processes, interactions, etc. we can not get information at all, because they are not recorded, or even not known to anybody. And I could go on with this for another ten minutes. So it should be clear, that there is no such thing as “just the facts”. There is always only the presentation of an arbitrarily chosen tiny subset of haphazardly known data of mind constructs about real things we can “see” only the way our sensors, senses and our brains can do it. But you’re right, this can be done better or worse. But both ways, it will be very far from absolute reality.
No. Twist is not turn.
