    I believe Pyle had his artwork published in the Stars and Strips publication , that was for the military personnel. And I’m sure it was published in many other outlets.

    Actually Nancy was first introduced in 1933 in the Fritzi Ritz comic strip. Fritzi Ritz was first published in 1922, and in 1938 Nancy got her own comic strip.
