   I would gladly give up a body part for Mom’s recipe for baked spare ribs. Alas, it was buried with her, along with her recipes for Yorkshire pudding, Mexican casserole, clam fritters and scones. I have made many attempts. All were good, but they weren’t moms.

   I worry about foods and sauces landing on the beard, then s-l-o-w-l-y traveling down and hitting the “continental shelf”. Never wear white, or light colors, to a BBQ.

   I have a (bikers/truckers) chain wallet that I can take out and drop into the door pocket of my truck. I don’t get far without pocketing it when I get out.

   The men’s group at my church puts on a church-wide breakfast each month. The kitchen gossip would curl your mustache. Bad enough in any church, gossip has the power of African Congo Drums and the speed of IBM.
