   I don’t remember the movie much, but I do remember that they captured the blob, and dropped it at the North Pole where it would be frozen (for ever?).

   I saw ‘The Blob’ as a kid. I was visiting relatives in Georgia. That night I had to go between my grandmother’s house and the house where one of her daughter’s family (including my cousins) lived. Intellectually I knew it was just a make-believe movie, but I still made sure my path to the other house stayed far enough from all the cars that ‘The Blob’ (there was a scene in the movie where the blob grabbed someone from under a car) couldn’t get me.

   I used to go to Panera Bread for their really good black bean soup. The last time couple of times I went it wasn’t that good (guess they found a cheaper supplier) , and their other entrees had no special appeal for me. Haven’t been back in years.
