I believe Keri Lake and a few others have attended the Lucy school of logic…….
According to Wikipedia: “Gil Thorp is a sports-oriented comic strip which has been published since September 8, 1958. The main character, Gil Thorp, is the athletic director of Milford High School and coaches the football, basketball, and baseball teams. In addition to the sports storylines, the strip also deals with issues facing teenagers such as teen pregnancy, steroids, and drug abuse.” Obviously, Barajas wasn’t content with that range and decided that the loyal readers needed more drama and “timely” topics. He’s wrong. This was an enjoyable strip when it stayed with the original parameters. Now, it is as depressing as watching the nightly news. Does he realize that I/we can turn off the tv? And, we can move on from his strip?
This has turned into 90210 and All-American….combined. I’ll be moving on…….
They need to hire a technical advisor. Yelling plays from the sidelines? 6 TD’s in the 1st Quarter—in a high school game??
I’ve been reading Gil Thorp for years. For the 1st time ever, I don’t have a clue what the heck is going on……
C’mon….this started 9/15! If they ran out of ideas, at least post some of the old strips that are funny!!!
Either he’s off his meds again, or he’s started new ones……aren’t comic strips supposed to be funny for the most part?
If they are playing mixed doubles, and Linus & Snoopy refer to the garage as “he”, does that mean Snoopy is the female???
Why use 2 characters that have similar facial hair and haircuts, and the same color shirt. Need name tags to tell them apart……..
“Still get a hair”????
