Totally Not a Killer Dolphin Free

Avid fan of A Canticle for Leibowitz, Harry Potter, and pretty much anything funny. I don't mind political or religious arguments but I kind of wish we'd actually try to communicate instead of spouting insults.

There’s a Greek myth like that. I forget the surrounding details, but it came down to a magic hound (which always caught its prey) chasing a magic hare (which always evaded its predator). Before a horrible paradox could devour the universe, Zeus turned both of them into constellations.

So, did the hare win anyway?

I feel a little funny every time someone says that, because I went to a Valentine’s Day party two weeks ago and I felt like THAT was Valentine’s Day.

I got a message that was thanking me in advance for buying some book and I freaked out for a minute because I thought I’d actually bought it. So (whoops!) I submitted my entry twice.

The line separating weirdo and liar passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either — but right through every human heart — and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. And even within hearts overwhelmed by lies, one small bridgehead of weirdness is retained.
