As a preteen I lived in an area where we could ride bikes a long way without encountering any real traffic, one or two cars at a time. There were busy streets that bounded the area that were our limits until we were older; then there was a traffic light we had to go to to cross. My mom was also able to tolerate not knowing exactly were we were at any given time; knowing that at a certain point other adults would send us home.

NATO never has been a “hostile military alliance.” It has been an association of countries pledging to defend themselves against a country that has shown itself time and time again to be an aggressor.

And there are already forces in the US advocating for an invasion of Mexico.

Actually, there is ample evidence that Putin has “dirt” on Trump. Putin can’t be happy with Biden at the moment as he arms the opposition.

If things are so great in Republican-run cities like Oklahoma City, why are there multiple shootings on the TV news EVERY night? Are you going to blame that on Democrats too?

Of course Putin wants to rule additional territory when the people in his own country think they have it good because they’re not allowed to be told otherwise. How would he ruin economies like France and Germany?

Trump, if he gets in, will preside over utter mayhem. He will spend billions not on helping people but rounding them up and sending them away. He will put loyalists in charge of stuff they don’t even understand, and all the structure of our society will break down. He will then tell people they’ve never had it so good, and some, without anyone being allowed to tell the different, will believe him.

The result of him saying that is even more advertisers pulling away from “X.” BTW, I wonder how long we’ll continue to say, "X, the platform formerly known as ‘Twitter’ before we assume that people already know that.

In the late 50s, I walked all by myself maybe a quarter mile to Kindergarten, as did most of the other kids in my class. There were only a few parents dropping off or picking up kids; most of us either walked or biked.

There is actually evidence that kids allowed to get to school on their own would be SAFER in this day than they were then.

Not only do today’s kids not get many opportunities to be on their own and make mistakes to learn from, many don’t even get much of their own time to manage by themselves, skills they will need in adulthoodl

That’s the downside of “term limits.” In your last term, you are no longer accountable to voters and you begin to vote in favor of the guy you want to hire you when you’re out of office.
