The sentiment of the cartoon is appreciated. The stereotypical depiction of all latinos (even Mexicans) as wearing Mexican sombrero and sarape, is not.
Count me in. Two Beetles with multiple holes, front and back (battery hole was pretty much a given).
That might be some pretty serious “ooops!”.
Cartoon, artistic license, etc, yeah, but… running up some stairs with a (presumably pretty sharp) katana held over your head is probably not a very good idea.
All I have to say is that Taco Guy sure gets around! Must be some kind of deity, because he’s everywhere, even in space!
I know it’s a cartoon, and I get the message but… coin operated telephones allowed you to make emergency calls free of charge.
You don’t. You patiently try to teach. Having a kid is what teaches most people who don’t have an ample supply from birth, patience.
In any event, that’s the point of the cartoon: the inequality between women’s and men’s pay, on top of Nike’s questionable labor practices.
Trained, indeed. The question is, “by whom”? A lot of the US law is based on goodwill and the assumption that we’re all basically decent, law-abiding folk. But a “well-regulated” and/or “well-trained” militia can just as easily be a white-supremacist militia who has received its training and indoctrination from powers and interests contrary to democracy, equality, and freedom for all. What’s happening in the US of A is neither new nor unique. All we need to do is review the history of how any of the tyrannical regimes in the world have risen, and you’ll see the same pattern.
You may not have thought that through. “A well regulated milia”, separate from the regular armed forces, and armed to the teeth with modern weapons, may not be something that any democratic government wants to deal with. The potential for a very lethal armed insurrection increases many-fold.
