A la the classic movie The Women.

  2. 5 days ago on Calvin and Hobbes

Yes, it is not the things, but the sense of violation that really gets to one. Unless, of course, an item with sentimental value was stolen as well as one’s peace of mind.

  3. 7 days ago on Pearls Before Swine

I found, time and time again, that the people who were reserved and maybe even seemed unfriendly at first became great friends; on the other hand, the ones that seemed friendly at first often turned out to be the type you couldn’t trust and wanted to avoid.

  4. 7 days ago on Pickles

Seems an appropriate place for Earl, useless man that he is.

  5. 7 days ago on Calvin and Hobbes

That assumes that the police will respond. In our area, they no longer do and everyone, including the thieves, knows it.

  6. 10 days ago on Calvin and Hobbes

This happened to us. We were afraid to stay home in case they came back and we were afraid to leave in case they came back. It is quite a sense of violation.

  7. 14 days ago on For Better or For Worse

You are right. He has wisely secured his future all-around.

  8. 14 days ago on Pearls Before Swine

Absolutely hilarious – Pastis outdid himself! I love it!

  9. 14 days ago on For Better or For Worse

Well, I would have chosen a better word than “security” for a man’s reason for marrying. Would a bride-to-be want to be referred to as “security?” I think not – historically, that has been a woman’s reason to marry. Just my opinion, of course.

    Very cleverly done!
