Rhonda Santis's Profile

Rhonda Santis Free
Go Comics in its "wisdom" has decided that the account named "Concretionist" may comment, but the comments will not be shown to anyone _except_ Concretionist. So there has arrived here at lovely downtown GC, a brand new account with a brand ole person behind it. Hiya! ...... PS: I expect that Rhonda will be replaced by some other name in the not too distant future.

I grew up on the western edge of the Deep South. No black/white racism in our town because there was exactly ONE black family (a mother and her adult-aged but very childlike son Johnny) and we all knew him at least, because he wandered the town being friendly. However my grandparents lived a bit further east, and in a larger town. The racism there was trilateral: Whites, “Mexicans” and Negrοes. I recall such fountains as this, and messed with some of them. Quite often the smaller uncooled one also ran rusty water.
They also had pay toilets (a thinly disguised way to keep blacks from using them) and one of the higher-priced department stores even had a bathroom attendant (same purpose) which was downright weird.
