There is a theory I’ve read that the farther apart opposites are, ironically, they are closer together. Also I remember back in the ‘fifties it was the left supporting communism and the right against it, but now it’s the Repugs shaking hands with Russia and North Korea and Dems supporting Ukraine against Russia. If Ike had done what Trump has done, McCarthy would have crucified him. Trying to explain politics these days can give you a hernia.

The earth’s climate has been changing ever since the earth was created. The argument is whether man has an effect on it, and I think it’s obvious that man’s actions do affect it. Just a lot of people don’t want to admit it.

Way back in the day (circa 1965) my wife’s office computer broke down. When the repairman couldn’t come soon enough, she fixed it (consider the times). Now all of them are connected to some service company in Pakistan. And they still break down. Too bad I can’t find a sarcasm emoji.

I’m surprised we all don’t already have a chip in our brain so the medical establishment can invade our privacy more easily.

Had a nightmare last night. I was at a new job, worked from 8am until midnight. I kept asking when quitting time was and no one knew. At last I asked some lady, and she pointed out a place in the hall where I could take a nap. Fortunately, I’m retired, why I’m dreaming of work again no clue.
Plus, golf used to be considered a “gentlemen’s” game (say elitest) so everyone was supposed to be courteous and respectful. So was tennis. Baseball (and Football) started as rowdy, sometimes violent sports – something for the teeming masses. I’m afraid “gentlemen” are rare anywhere nowadays. Then came money, greed, and politics. Then there is a certain politician that plays golf that turns a lot of people from the game.
