    Reminds me of my home I was born and raised in for 11 years. It was suburbs butted up against wooded areas and open fields. Lots of places to explore. That was in the 1980s. Fast forward to now, those open fields and wooded areas have disappeared; victims of suburban growth. The hills I used to slide down overlooking a couple frozen ponds in the winter are now sprawling with condos. I suddenly have a sense of sadness to know and see their fate long after I moved away.

    Kids, don’t bully your peers. Treat each with respect and kindness. It’s not worth the internal anguish, ongoing depression, anxiety and mental issues we victims face daily afterwards.

    I am sorry you got bullied as a kid (I did too.). Who knows what reason(s) why they do it and we can only guess.

    To those who were mistreated as kids by bullies: I pray for healing and strength. Know that you’re not alone, we do care about you and it’s not your fault. One day at a time; that’s what it’s all about.

    Actually, if I recall, there was the SARS virus, which is closely related to COVID-19, going around at the time. So, in a technicality, @knutdl is correct. SARS and COVID are both coronaviruses.
