   My wife insisted that we get a landline when we moved to a more rural area for backup. No dial tone for three months last fall. Now, starting March 6th, no dial tone again. Just got a text from Clink (CenturyLink) that my service will be restored on April Fools’ Day. Who says corporations don’t have a sense of humor?

   I had a magnetic “doughnut”. When I ran a screwdriver back and forth inside it was magnetized and rubbed on the outside demagnetized it. Worked great until it shattered when accidentally dropped on the concrete floor.

   My friend’s feet point out on an angle when he walks. Kind of like this \ /. When he took off walking on the beach it was easy to track him down.

   People drive down the rural roads in my area and “harvest” mail, both incoming and outgoing, especially around Christmas. I never leave outgoing mail in my mailbox which has a three point lock on the mail box door.

   I must have been to one of the first showings at the Portland, OR theatre. They had costumed characters from the movie including Jawa with glowing “eyes”.
