    Well, I can see how much the cats love the food; I have been feeding my neighbors’ cat every morning for a few days, and she is meowing and waiting by the garage door to get the wet food faster, even while I am trying to put it into the bowl. It’s adorable, but also slightly annoying.

    I would not. In every Greek myth, prophecies are pretty much always fulfilled when the subject tries to avoid them. It’s best to just let it come. With the myth of Oedipus, for example, the prophecy wouldn’t have come true if his parents had just kept him.
