Ruthie is a visionary. When we lived in Bloomington, IN, the public library near IU had toys available to “check out”. That was pre-Covid, so I don’t know if they still offer the option. It was wonderful to be able to rotate through great educational toys without spending a fortune and accumulating lots of “stuff”!
I just read in NYT that Mike Johnson ordered the flag raised at the Capitol during the inauguration. Mar-A-Lago raised the flag shortly after Carter’s funeral, and several red states in solidarity to their “leader”. Let’s see if the felon in chief rescinds Biden’s order and raises the flags at the White House before the 30 days is up, once he takes over…
They only care about straight people, not straight facts. Their “facts”, on the other hand, are quite queer (no, I’m not homophobic, see definition 3 below)
queer /kwîr/adjective 1. Deviating from what is expected or normal; strange. 2. Odd or unconventional, as in behavior; eccentric. 3. Of a questionable nature or character; suspicious.“thought there was something queer about his explanation.”
Speaking of funerals, I just watched former President Jimmy Carter’s. What a great man of truth, love, integrity, humility, intelligence and compassion! It was wonderful to hear the tributes and eulogies.
What a contrast from the next resident of the White House. It’s too bad that he seems incapable of recognizing that it’s not your financial wealth, but your wealth of spirit, that truly matters.
I felt sorry for former President Obama. He got stuck sitting next to a toddler with ADHD who (1.) didn’t know how to behave and (2.) wouldn’t stop talking through the service…
ROTFL!
