   For some reason I was never a fan of Toll House cookies. They have chocolate chips so I will eat them, but I prefer the recipe I posted above, it is probably the peanut butter that give them the edge.

   These are my favorite chocolate chip cookies that my mom made when I was growing up and pretty much the only ones I ever make.

   Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

   1/2 cup butter

   1 cup white sugar

   1 cup brown sugar

   1/2 cup oil

   1 cup peanut butter

   1 egg

   1 1/2 tbsp. milk

   3/4 tsp. baking soda

   2 cups flour

   3/4 tsp. salt

   1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

   Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugars and butter. Add oil, peanut butter, egg and milk. Combine dry ingredients and add to the rest of the mix. Stir chocolate chips into mixture. Drop spoonfuls of batter on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

   When I don’t work I generally just eat breakfast, though it is getting close to noon since I sleep in and then dinner. I might eat a snack in the afternoon.

   I wonder if the changes will take place on April 1. If they do they can just say it was an April fools joke if there are problems.

   Maybe I should get Indian tonight for dinner. They have a butter chicken, not sure if it is the same as butter chicken masala, they also have a chicken tikka masala.

   It is in the 70s here in Michigan. I saw some crocuses when I was out for my walk at lunch. I had a Facebook memory yesterday of a daffodil in my back yard. The flowers are not so far along this year. My daffodils by my house have poked through the ground, but they are a ways from flowering yet. We have typical spring yoyo weather in the forecast. Sunday is supposed to be back in the 30s and then 50s and 60s for the beginning of the week and then 30s again on Thursday.

   One of the first things I looked at was to see if it would be easy to do a half recipe. There were no eggs so I didn’t have to worry about half an egg. Technically you could do that, but generally if I am reducing a recipe with eggs I reduce it down to whole eggs. I almost always by my butter in half sticks so I wouldn’t even need to cut the butter stick in half to half the recipe.

   I was wondering how many it would make. I was thinking I might do half a recipe if I make them. With one person I don’t need very many.

    I woke up a little after 2 and looked for the moon but I think I needed to go outside to see it and I was sleepy so I just went back to bed.
