Nothing wrong with letting Luann use this as a way to grow her writing and make her father happy. But what I think is missing is the realization that she really needs to be done with both Tara and Piro. They have shown her nothing but disrespect throughout their whole association. Real growth would be curving both of them in favor of finding some better friends.
