I’m at a dead end rural road, where people from town think it’s a great place to do fireworks. So I have to stay home to make sure they don’t set my dry yard on fire.
I used to love going to the fairgrounds to watch some awesome fireworks. But, then, fighting the traffic to get home. Was it really worth it? Maybe, since all I really remember was the fireworks, especially when the kids were young enough to really appreciate it. Today? I’ll watch it on t.v. maybe.
I am watching fireworks right outside my window. I can sit on my front porch. They have been going off all day and will into the night. Why drive somewhere, pay to park, bumped by crowds and possibly murdered by an 18 year old incel with an AR15? Safe here at home. :)

I’m afraid the dogs would tear up the house trying to escape from the noise. If I’m close by, they are (mostly) ok.

I’ve never seen the appeal of watching fireworks on TV. But to each their own.
