Question: Does that excuse everyone else? If we are at all serious, we need to have a set of mutually agreeable standards for local, state and federal job candidates to meet before they can run for or hold office. Or do we want our 2 party system to stay forever in a Never Never Land with no adults allowed?

I am glad there are no hypocrites in the GOP.

The Confederate statues were put up LONG after the Civil War during te Jim Crow era and they were intended to intimidate potential black voters.

Unfortunately, VA seems to have been OK with blackface for far longer than other states. While blackface is unacceptable, the current racist actions (Trump, Steve King) are something that should be scrutinized and condemned more harshly.

Let’s ask Steve King, or Crazy Joe Arpio, or Cyndi Hyde-Smith about Racism…

The Democrats are all calling for Northam to resign.

Unlike the Republicans, who circle the wagons and defend their racists.

Democrats have at least made an effort to move in a good direction.

If that’s what the Democrats are like in Virginia, I don’t even want to think about what the Republicans are like.

The more I hear, the more it sounds like organized repig oppo research designed to knock off the top three that voters approved of, to put one of theirs in power.
