If you used a credit card to donate to Agolf Twitler’s campaign, you better check your balance, since they clandestinely set the charges up as a REPEATING DONATION.

It appears that Donald Trump continued to take enormous sums of money from his supporters even after the 2020 presidential election was over.

A new report from The New York Times reveals that the ex-president issued $122.7 million in refunds to his supporters last year, which amounted to 11 percent of the money Trump’s campaign raised. The publication’s findings were based on a review of Federal Election Commission filings.

Beginning last summer, Trump’s campaign and WinRed—the company that handled online donations—added pre-checked recurring payment boxes to online donations. Contributors weren’t aware that they had to manually uncheck the boxes unless they read the disclaimer. If they didn’t check the fine print, then contributors’ credit cards were charged weekly until the day of the election.

In the days before the election, the campaign “made that disclaimer increasingly opaque,” The Times writes, and even added a second pre-checked box that doubled the donation. Banks soon became “inundated with fraud complaints” from Trump supporters who didn’t realize they had agreed to recurring contributions. The Times reports that in late 2020, several banks and one of the U.S.’s leading credit card companies revealed that these cases constituted up to three percent of all fraud complaints.

It’s astonishing that this apparently doesn’t fall under criminal fraud. Of course few of the people who actually donated are going to be willing to press the issue, but some state AG or another ought to file a public interest lawsuit.

Mike Lindell, the “my pillow” guy has admitted he has lost $65 million in business because of large companies cancelling their purchases with him because of his association with Donald Trump. In addition Dominion Voting Machines is suing him for 1.2 billion for promoting Donald Trump’s lie about those machines being faulty. Pretty soon my pillows will no longer be Mike Lindell’s pillows — they will be Dominion Voting Machines’ pillows.

What a lying hit piece by the NYTimes and shame on Robert for going along with it. Nothing the campaign did was illegal and every campaign makes mistakes and winds up giving refunds including Biden’s. NO Campaign wants to give refunds, it costs time and money, which can be better spent elsewhere. Regarding this specific issue, President Trump’s campaign received requests for less than 1% of their donations to be refunded which they did. Biden’s campaign took in far less than Trump’s yet they still wound up refunding more than $21 million. What the NYT did was to take a normal situation and try to blow it up all out of proportion in order to gen up a nonexistent scandal. Of course the left wing ideologues took this ball and ran their propaganda and disinformation machine full out. Again, too bad Bob fell for this with his “toon.

A dying man whose bank account was emptied at the top:

single contribution… quickly multiplied. …every week through mid-October, without his knowledge — until [his] bank account had been depleted and frozen. When his utility and rent payments bounced……..intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign… set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election…banks and credit card companies were inundated with fraud complaints from the president’s own supporters…Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee… shared accounts issued more than 530,000 refunds worth $64.3 million to online donors …able to use tens of millions of dollars he raised after the election, under the guise of fighting his unfounded fraud claims, to help cover the refunds he owed…bank representatives who fielded fraud claims… estimated [those cases] represented as much as 1 to 3 percent of their workload. …credit-card [confirmed] a similar percentage
