Sergiy Kyslytsya made the startling remarks Monday at an Emergency Special Session to discuss Putin’s order to put Russian nuclear deterrent forces put on alert, which the Ukrainian diplomat called insane, and he compared the move to Adolf Hitler’s desperate final moments as the Allies encircled Berlin at the end of World War II.

“What a madness,” Kyslytsya said. “If [Putin] wants to kill himself, he doesn’t need to use nuclear arsenal. He has to do what the guy in Berlin did in a bunker in May 1945.”

CPAC’s bloodthirsty: US conservatives are still warmongering — this time for domestic battle

CPAC activists have turned their focus inward and are convinced they are literally fighting for their lives here at home against what they see as a Communist 5th column (also known as the Democratic Party) and the “invasion” allegedly being waged daily along the southern border.

This year’s gathering in Florida, home of Dear Leader Trump, just happened to fall on the opening days of Vladimir Putin’s brutal invasion of its neighboring country, Ukraine. One might have expected that the speakers, at least, would feel it necessary to at least address this issue, seeing as it’s the first major land war on European soil since World War II, affecting 44 million Ukrainians and millions more in surrounding countries. On the first day, however, there was hardly a peep in defense.

Reports from the floor show a consensus among the crowd that while it’s unfortunate that Putin has invaded Ukraine it’s not something we should be concerned about when our own border is supposedly under siege. This parallel between the two situations was repeated by many people.

Haven’t seen any comments on this ‘toon from the usual suspects. I guess even trolls find it hard to defend the indefensible, but like a postulant boil, they’ll pop up elsewhere to “defend” a friendlier cartoonist.

Unfortunately, there really is a large swath of useful-fool Americans, locked into their right-wing agitprop sites (like FOX “News”, OANN, NewsMax, Infowars, Breitbart, et al) that are indistinguishable from Russia Today.

They were the ones Hillary accurately called “The Deplorables” who eagerly believe whatever dumbass conspiracy they are told from the anti-American web sites and Qanon, no matter how stupid or outrageous it is.

And they actually get upset when we aren’t “nice” to them? As if we should be “nice” to crooks, liars, thieves, and traitors?

Christie said someone who makes such a remark doesn’t have any “understanding of the world.”

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie implicitly jabbed Donald Trump on Monday, criticizing people who have praised Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strategy for invading Ukraine, something the former president did both before and after Russia went to war with its neighbor.

“How can anyone with any understanding of the world call Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine ‘genius’ and ‘very savvy’ as we watch him unite the rest of the world against Russia in nearly an instant?” Christie tweeted.
