Republicans NEVER cut spending.

And the maggots that propose cuts never specify where. Only cut ‘everywhere by x%’.

Because actual budget cuts are hard — which eliminates them from Republican consideration.

Not only that, but they are unpopular — which eliminates them doubly.

If this is not resolved it plunges the world into recession. We know the repubs don’t care about the world or America other than for scoring cheap points with their base. In which case if they don’t play ball starve the red states of funds.

Tentative deal reached for the next 2 years. President Biden blinked. However, from what I’ve read, no major spending cuts were promised. So I’m not sure what really was accomplished. The House will vote early this week, it will be interesting to see if the MAGAt Republicans vote ‘yea’.

The republicans also want deep cuts to taxes, but they will talk about that 2 weeks after the debt ceiling is raised after most of their constituents have forgotten about the “concern” their representatives are showing about debt.

Start with the 58% component of the budget. We don’t need another trillion dollar fighter.

gop answer to every problem is to cut taxes for wealthy while cutting Social Scty, Welfare, Education, Medicare and Medicaid and more guns to the gop white folks.

I could cut the budget in five minutes. Eliminate the Dept. of Education. Eliminate all grants involving climate change. Fire John Kerry. Fire all EPA workers. That is only a start.

I would like to disagree with braindead, but I cannot.

Republican’s should never be allowed to determine their own pay and should only be allowed reasonable allowances for office supplies and recieve minimum wage……..we’ll see how many people will join the line with all the pencils and pens and paper they can get but not accumulate but be paid minimum wages.

If there is an increase in minimum wage, then not recieve it for two years and term limits of FOUR years. nope they’d not like that. But life is HARD.
