Man: Why did the Justice Department nix your merger with American?
Woman: They said that kind of unregulated, too-big-to-fail, consumer-crushing power is reserved for banks!
Too big to fail has become too big to prosecute and for that reason, I find myself in rare agreement with Mr. Kent whose tone is ofttimes on the far left fringe of liberal views. However, ConGov, in his continuing efforts to aid in the divisiveness confronting our people, only sees fault in the DNC and their donors. The cartoon is less a jab at the airline merger, than at Congress and its willingness to not only protect banks, but to allow them to continue the very practices that took us to the brink in 2008. Not surprising since Congress itself is willing to take the USA and the rest of the world to the brink of financial collapse in order to make “the other party” look bad. When the divisiveness becomes extreme, we will become like Egypt with neighbor turning on neighbor. There is a lady on my street who, because I refused to support her candidate in 2010, still will not even say hello to me when we meet at the store or walking in the neighborhood. Is this how politics are supposed to create a United States of America?Respecfully,C.
