Genocide of the indigenous Americans who kept the first European arrivals alive through those first brutal winters. (And yes, later separating their children from their native parents.)
Enslavement of African Americans (and yes, separating children from parents when sold to different buyers).
The Trail of Tears.
The Japanese Internment concentration camps (and those who support today’s baby internment concentration camps would absolutely be the loudest voices in support of that), which at least kept intact families together, despite other horrific atrocities, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Oddly, I didn’t notice the GOP button in the first panel, so my first reading was the guy was “general American” guy. It still reads right. I’m beginning to wonder when most folks will find their hair on fire about something.
Congratulations. A new Mr. Rogers just when we needed him the most. The moron who fired you just managed to create a national audience for your commentary. Best of luck. I am following you on gocomics, and really do enjoy your work.
The GOP is 87% behind Trump, to believe they think he is doing wrong is deadly to democracy. The only reason some are making believe they care is to put on a false front for the midterms.
Sorry for repeating, but this is worth it, I think:
“There’s a crisis of cowardice in the Republican Party that is profoundly un-American and, in my reading, unprecedented,” he said. “No one is prepared to lay down their political career to do what’s right to oppose the corruption, the assault on institutions, the nonstop lying, the assault on objective truth.”
—Steve Schmidt, long-time Republican strategist who just renounced the party
Don’t forget to give the botoxed, liposucked, overtanned, over medicated, aspiring GOP women their chance in the toon. “Anything for my kids – but get your disgusting little animal out of my town.”
Wonder if Jacob Marley and three assorted spirits are busy these days…..No, not for Ebenezer Trump, but for the few Republicans who just MIGHT be salvageable!
I love this guy. I hope that big city paper that fired him for doing his job well is regretting this big time. They don’t deserve to get this kind of quality back. Glad he’s here!!!
For the last two years the Republican party has defended white supremacists and neo-Nazis. They have comforted despots and attacked our allies. they have ripped immigrant children from their families. They have no backbone and will not stand up to Trump.
Mr. Rogers, I hadn’t seen anything of yours until this bruhaha about your firing made me watch for your return. So Glad to see you’re back and will watch your strips (panels) every day now.
“We’re strictly of the Greed, Cruelty, and Cowardice school. Well, we can give you greed and cowardice without the cruelty, and we can give you cruelty and cowardice without the greed, and we can give you all three, consecutively or sequentially, but we can’t give you greed and cruelty without the cowardice. Cowardice is compulsory. It’s all cowardice, you see.”
Glad to see you are still in there illuminating the truth. I hope this wrongful discharge will end up being a great opportunity for you. Glad to see you here. Good luck to you.
Good point there DD WIZ ~ but most great nations look to their past, examine their errors and strive to be better. ~ Our current President embraces Andrew Jackson and strives to return America to those days of glory…. The results are, therefore, predictable.

Sadly, yes, it is “who we are.”
Well, not all of us.

If that’s no who you are, Repubs, then who are you? Most of you have been advocating most of those policies for many years.
