Please no more billionaires! Besides giving them an advantage in the current debate schedule by their self-funding, they cut out what I consider better-qualified candidates (eg., Julian Castro).

S&F reduced the number of guns on the street. Reduced the level of violent crime, robbery, etc. Sadly, NYPD used the practice where the overwhelming majority of crime takes place. This led a Federal judge to say it was discriminatory.

Terry stops are legal. Been so for 40 years or more. It is a pity NYC chose to not appeal the 2013 ruling.

Back in 2010, when the atrocious Citizens United decision came down, essentially opening the floodgates to unlimited spending on political campaigns, it didn’t take a prophet to see the day coming when people like Michael Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, Rick Scott, Oprah Winfrey, Rick Snyder, Betsy DeVos, and Disaster Pumpkin would have instant street cred the moment they opened their checkbooks.

The only long-term answer to this fundamental flaw in the American political system is a Constitutional amendment declaring, in terms so crystal clear that even Anthony Kennedy couldn’t mistake them, that:

    1) only actual human beings have human rights,

    2) free spending doesn’t count as free speech, and

    3) all aspects of campaign financing can be reasonably and fairly regulated by local, state, and federal laws, uniformly applied.
