National Archives and DOJ really need to post an amnesty period where everyone can check their paperwork and turn in any classified found without any repercussions. After that period, start prosecuting.

Make everyone sign out the documents.

I wonder, is there is a classification labeled No Big Deal ?

If you examine a document to consider if it’s classified, doesn’t the act of examination render it as classified? Mark it as Unimportant and then, it’s classified. Right?

I have to wonder how much Archives have been downsized in the last 30 or 40 years. Do they have enough people to handle the check out/check in duties?
