Johnson doesn’t have to actually DO anything — just allow bills to be voted on.

Not obstructing is the most active governing possible for a Republican.

If he allows the Border Bill to be voted on, he’ll probably get stripped of his Speakership and thrown out of the MAGAt party.

It would be instructive to see her try to get rid of him.

Ok, the way this is supposed to work is that you get elected to congress and you find out that a lot of the folks there don’t agree with you about a whole lot of things. So, you don’t throw temper tantrums, you don’t file useless proposals that you know have no chance of becoming law, you don’t waste time.

There are plenty of things that need fixing in this country. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE WHO CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO DON’T GET ANYTHING DONE? When you are elected and find those people who don’t agree with you, put those issues aside and try to find issues where you can agree, or at least compromise. ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING!!It may not be your pet project, and it may not get you into the news on a regular basis, but maybe you could overlook that and try to do some actual good for the country?

Isn’t it ironic that the very people who want Johnson out won’t seek the Speakership.

Reagan’s Trickle Down turned the middle class into the working poor. Republicans only care about billionaires and want you to pay their taxes.

They don’t want to govern, they want total control at any cost.

I hope the FBI and Secret Service have pleaded with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to never ever be within 5 miles of each other for the remainder of the year, lest some right-wing wacko succeed in taking them both out simultaneously, leaving us with Holy Mike as president.

The foreign-aid bill for Ukraine / Israel / Taiwan went flying thru with a huge margin on a bipartisan vote once Johnson actually worked up the courage to allow it to be put to a vote. In return for letting Congress actually participate in, you know, democracy, the looniest members of his own party want to kick him out of the job.

As bad as Reagan was, Mike Johnson is far worse and he’s not as bad as the MAGAs.
