Too much irony?
They’re called irons because way back in the early Iron Age, they WERE (cast) iron. To hold the heat after you heated them on the (wood/coal) stove. And they were heavy too.
But they did kill lice and flea eggs.

Took me a moment to realize that that wasn’t a decoration on the front of the tunic. It looks a bit like a superhero’s costume.
Now he’s steamed.
I did that to the sleeper couch when I was four. haha

She did it on purpose — now she’ll never again have to do the ironing.
