Perhaps the kid doesn’t want you to return to life.
How quickly did that kid notice the lack of breath? I know I’d take quite a while.
John Carpenter was disappointed that more people didn’t pick up on his hint in the last scene of “The Thing”: One of the guys wasn’t breathing.
Tricky to convey “not visibly breathing”, when that is what most of us do all the time, especially in the comics. :)
