Perhaps there were several civilizations that predated that of humans. At least that’s the basic premise of Larry Niven’s short story, “The Green Marauder.” He tells of an intelligent anaerobic life form that once flourished on Earth, then died when plants began uncontrollably to release oxygen into the atmosphere. Was it the result of a scientific experiment gone awry, or evolution in action?
Mother Earth will take care of herself. An incrementally increasing fever due to the infection of non-biodiverse pathogens will eventually eliminate her current disease.
Inter universal transporter but nothing so basic or useful as arm extenders? I mean, how do they even scratch their butts while thinking up cool stuff?
In some parallels the Troodontids make it into space in steam powered rockets and put the Chicxalub asteroid into parking orbit and named their version of Terra “Nibiru” in many others they fail. And there is the mammal-like reptiles who left Terra before the end of the Permian to find a colony off world somewhere out there. The Valusians of the Triassic are still around. Ophidian-like reptiles with arms and legs.
The Silurian hypothesis is a thought experiment which assesses modern science’s ability to detect evidence of a prior advanced civilization, perhaps several million years ago. See more

Well, it’s more credible than the conclusion of the “Dinosaurs” TV series.
