I would if they wanted it, but they don’t.
Being O-Positive and having given a gallon years ago . . . I’m wondering if they still have it . . . /S
For twenty years they said they didn’t want it because I might have been exposed to something I never was. A couple of years ago, they said, “Oh, um, never mind.”
Can I specify that it not be used on unvaccinated people? Don’t want it wasted.
Some people aren’t allowed to donate blood.
I’ve tried but locally there are only appointments for type AB and platelets. Makes no sense. I’m O+, it’s fairly useful stuff.
Given upwards of 15 gallons over the year but can’t anymore, have Asymptomatic Myeloma.
Between the Red Cross and mosquitoes, my blood type is in great demand. Now, if only I could stop getting sick every time I gave, I’d gladly add to my 4 gallons given, so far.
1959 Fort Dix NJ asked my blood type I wrote AB-. Type O put on my dog tags. Used to donate blood years ago, but now 86 I’m unable to donate.
I do, every chance I get!
Too old now but managed to give over 90 donations in my time. Even sold some while in some American ports, in my navy days to pay for.. entertainment.
I thank all who have given blood. I have leukemia, and last week, I received my 40th unit of blood.
i used to give all the time but now i have to take medication that they cant chance in an emergency. Already medicated blood is bad.
Here’s THE statistic regarding blood donation: Only about 8% of the people qualified to give blood do so. Those of us that donate are aware of that stat, but those that don’t donate don’t realize how small the percentage is of those who could.
I give platelets once a month :^) Please give if you can.
