CA is turning into a third world state. And many Dems think their Gov is doing a fine job and should be promoted to do the same to the entire country.

Funny thing about homelessness, it’s highest in the states that have the most jobs and pay the most. It’s almost like, contrary to the FAUX narrative, people keep moving there for money and freedom.

If those are Newsom’s, shouldn’t they be rose-colored?

My wife and I participated in a couple of “homeless census” where we lived in Riverside County, CA. Volunteers attended a brief training session, then carried a supply of new socks as gifts for people who would talk with us (they could have the socks even if they didn’t want to talk) and we were out well before dawn in areas where there were walls or trees or buildings that might provide shelter, even in residential neighborhoods close to businesses. There seemed to be about as many women as men. There were some veterans, but many common stories about not being able to stand the stresses of family, or marriage, or jobs —suggesting mental illness, or lack of coping skills. We did not find as many drug or alcohol related disabilities as we thought we would find. Some people received SSI and Medicaid benefits for income and medical care. In those few hours we were able to talk with 12 people, then we took our results back to the church that was the organizing point, and which also functioned as a feeding center for homeless people.

California accounts for 30% of the nation’s homeless. Regardless of politics, think about that. One state, 30%.

And the community zoning makes it difficult to build. Can’t build high rises – it’s about the only place one can build. Up. But it’s caught on every try.

One of the problems California has with homeless, is that states like Florida and Texas address their homeless by putting them on a bus to California.

    Because Compassionate Conservatism.

Solving the homeless crisis isn’t that hard. Ban all rental companies, 1 person gets to own 1 apartment complex or 3 houses, build more complexes like they have in Salt Lake City to house people as they work with them to get jobs, and the truly mentally ill (not the ones that would take their meds if they could afford them) need to be put back into institutions. The spike in homelessness is a man-made creation that can be solved by removing all man-made causes. Oh, wait, Breen doesn’t care about the homeless and hopes they all die just like every other Republican does.

As if Newsom’s opponents care even one whit about the homeless.
