Maybe those who think the Feds are useless and just wasting our tax money should finally be forced to experience just what they will lose, if this hostage-taking scenario is taken to the extremes the “Far Right” pretends they want. Remember, for instance, that it is still hurricane season, and you better not be waiting for FEMA or Guard troops to show up, if the government is shut down. They’ve criticized the poorly phrased “Defund the Police” slogan for years, yet it seems they want to defund everything. Maybe these are people who can’t just be told not to put their hands on a hot stove but have to actually experience the pain to learn a lesson.

Local police are not affected and can handle local problems fine.

The clown show in the House is demonstrating they are not interested in governing, only in destroying the country. And they appear to be doing it to save their dear leader. He told them to do it in a televised interview.

The part of the republican caucus that is “hell-bent” on shutting down the government really doesn’t have any demands that can be logically addressed in a timely manner…

They are delusional in the same way that the “leader” of their party is delusional, and are, therefore following their leader off the political “cliff”…

It should be noted that, with no clear end in sight for their “demands” to be met, the “shut-down” when it comes, MAY BE entirely open-ended, and could, very easily accomplish the “destruction” of the “administrative state” (America) that they have so openly desired…

And, parenthetically, if such destruction occurs, the fault will not ONLY lie at their feet, but at the feet of all who so stupidly voted them into office – as has been said, “elections have consequences”.

Democrats want tax increases and benefit cuts for people living in luxury.

Republicans want tax increases and benefit cuts for people living in poverty.

    This cannot be repeated enough.
