Yeah Alix this should be gobs of fun.

The fun starts in 2 min.

The only time I ever allowed my kids to call me by my first name was if we got separated in a store. “Every lady in here is called Mom. If you get lost, yell for Dani.”

I think……that ‘Holly’ is in for a very rude awakening and ‘Alix’ is going to enjoy every minute of it ! ! ! ! !

Holly is too much. The ideas she gets!

Alix the Mathematician! She is much more adept at putting 2 & 2 together to make 4 than Holly is.

My daughter started calling me by my first name when she turned 18. She never meant it in a kind, loving way. It was always condescending.

Too bad we will miss it, yet Alix will hear the lecture.

Holly is pretty and occasionally likable, but I am starting to see the point of the commenter who suggested that the 2 parts in her hair on each side of her bangs represent devil horns, like the hair on the Pointy Haired Boss on “Dilbert” by Scott Adams.

My kids can call me “Bob” when they start paying for rent, groceries, and gas! Then we’ll be on a more “equal footing”….

I only called Mom by her first name once…it did not end well. And I was in my twenties!

My kid decided to call me by my first name when he was in kindergarten. I just said, OK, you can call me Valancy, after all, it is my name; but anybody can call me by my name, but you’re the only person in the whole world who can call me Mom, and that’s really special. Then I never mentioned it again, and in about 2-3 days he lost interest.
