When I was that age, I was running from my stepfather who was going to comb my hair. I ran into a woman who was carrying a tub of boiled starch. It was dumped all over me. Some of the scar tissue did not dissappear until my late 30s.
I didn’t really LIKE getting my face washed, but it was okay. What I hated was Mom spitting on the corner of her snot rag and wiping my face with spit!. EeeYUCK!

Moms need to remember that noses are tender, and you can’t just scrub right over them without it hurting!

I liked washing myself, including my face… and behind my ears. I still do.
