    No one under age 4 should ever be in a movie theater. They don’t understand the movie and they annoy other people. Another example of Joan being a bad parent.

    Would a kid leave a large tub of buttery popcorn and licorice whips before running amuck in a theater? Kids nowadays. I’m totally envious.

    My boys were like Max. I only took them to the park or camping. Anything civilized where I would have to watch them constantly would be too exhausting so when I want to go someplace civilized, I just dropped them off with their grandma. They were curious, energetic, physical type of kids. Funny now that they both are adults, they are perfectly capable of lounging around and being lazy. Wonder where they learned that skill?? I feel Joan- wanting to go out and do something and having to bring Max along only having to go right back home. Max is not ready for community activities. The best place to start, as I did, was organized sports, starting with tee ball starting at age 4. Max will learn how to play with others, follow rules, boundaries, etc.
