I think this is just an absurdist joke. “Yard Moons”… could have been anything incongruous: “Yard Fish”, for example. The real joke is that they’ve got them AGAIN.

My best guess is that this is a comic strip version of abstract expressionist ‘artwork’, i.e., it makes no sense whatsoever.

He probably doesn’t even know what it means. He just drew it to stump everyone.

I might have it! Google: backside lady bending over, wooden yard art. Pinterest has several good examples. It’s a kitschy piece of yard art, usually made of wood, of an elderly person bending over gardening and mooning the neighborhood while doing it .
