This is the single biggest mistake people make about time travel. If you live through a moment, and then travel back in time to go through that moment again, you are there twice. You don’t magically take the place of the version of you that was there originally.
Perceval Dunwoody is such an idiot that he probably murdered the original version of himself just so there’s only one of him in this moment, but that’s not the way it works for other time travelers. Doing so creates a paradox that rips a hole in the fabric of space/time, so don’t do it.
